NAPERVILLE – North Central graduate student Emerald Svienty is the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in men’s cross country, the league office announced Tuesday.
Last Saturday, Svienty earned a time of 24:31.5 at the John McNicholas Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind. – the site of the 2024 Division III Championships course. Svienty’s time was the fastest 8K performance in the CCIW this season, good enough for sixth place at the event and for the Cardinals to finish third as a team.
