Titans Surge to #3 in New D3hoops.com Poll

NAPERVILLE – College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) co-leader Illinois Wesleyan extended its win streak to six games and ultimately moved up two spots to #3 in the new national rankings released by D3hoops.com on Monday.
 
The Titans (16-2, 8-1 CCIW) jumped past former #1 Wisconsin-Platteville and previous #2 Emory to secure 552 points for the third slot in the poll. Wesleyan was the recipient of 13 first-place votes to become the new #1, while Trine notched 11 first-place votes for the second position.
 
IWU won two home games last week – an 82-52 decision over Augustana last Wednesday and a 90-68 triumph over Wheaton on Saturday. The Titans will host Carroll Wednesday at 7 p.m. before playing their next three CCIW bouts on the road.

Carthage (14-4, 8-1 CCIW) won twice last week to remain in a first-place tie in the CCIW race and received 10 points in Monday's poll.
