NAPERVILLE – Illinois Wesleyan remained in the top 10 of the D3hoops.com national rankings, surging two spots to #7 in the new poll released Monday night.
The Titans’ (12-1) move came on the strength of a single first-place vote, boosting their point total in the poll to 444. Emory fell one spot to #2, while Trine, NYU and WashU filled out the remaining top five positions.
IWU has won three of its last four since the previous D3hoops.com poll, including an 84-68 win over then-#2 WashU on Dec. 19 in Bloomington. The Titans also collected a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) win at Wheaton last Saturday, 85-80 in overtime.
