NAPERVILLE --- North Central’s Joseph Sargent and Wheaton’s Jack Krahel were named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Offensive: Joseph Sargent, North Central
Sargent, a freshman forward, scored three goals and added an assist in two NCC wins last week.
Last Wednesday in a 1-0 victory against Trine, his lone goal in the 54th minute was the match winner. The Evanston, Ill. native followed with two goals and his first career assist to lift the Cardinals over Dominican last Saturday.
Defensive: Jack Krahel, Wheaton
Krahel posted a pair of shutouts for the Thunder last week in their wins over Kalamazoo and North Park. He made four saves in each match and now has three consecutive shutouts in goal.
