LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team moved up a spot to achieve a new program-best ranking, as the Titans (24-2) checked in at No. 3 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll, announced by the organization Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The spot bumps the Green and White up one following a 1-0 week to close out the regular season, as the Titans dominated Augustana College Wednesday night, Nov. 5. East Texas Baptist now claims the top spot as the last remaining undefeated team, while LaVerne dropped down to No. 2. UW-Oshkosh defeated UW-Eau Claire to jump up to No. 4, while UWEC rounds out the top-five.
Illinois Wesleyan, the top seed in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament, awaits the winner of No. 4 Wheaton and No. 5 Carroll for a matchup in the CCIW Semifinals Thursday night, Nov. 13. Action is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. inside the Shirk Center with a spot in the CCIW Tournament Championship Saturday night, Nov. 15, on the line.
