NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) will be well-represented in the 2025 NCAA Division III Football Championship, as league champion North Central and runner-up Wheaton each secured postseason bids, while WashU will conclude its year in the fifth annual Culver’s Isthmus Bowl.

Top-ranked North Central (10-0) enters the 40-team national tournament with its fifth straight unbeaten regular season and fifth consecutive league title, earning a first-round bye and its 17th all-time postseason appearance. The Cardinals will host a second-round matchup on Nov. 29 at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium against the winner of Hanover and Grove City.

Wheaton (8-2) received an at-large bid to the playoffs for the program’s 15th postseason appearance. The Thunder will host Crown (Minn.), the UMAC champion, in a first-round contest on Saturday, Nov. 22 at noon in McCully Stadium. The winner will advance to face Wartburg in the second round on Nov. 29. Wheaton returns to NCAA play after claiming a victory in the Culver’s Isthmus Bowl last season.

WashU (8-2) will also appear in postseason action, heading to the Culver’s Isthmus Bowl for the third time. The Bears will take on Wisconsin–Stout on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium in Sun Prairie, Wis., following a regular-season finale victory over Augustana.
