NAPERVILLE — North Central junior Shenita Lawson has been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in women’s wrestling, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon. Lawson delivered a marquee upset that headlined the Cardinals’ dual at No. 3 Grand Valley State on Sunday.
Competing at 180 pounds and entering the day ranked fourth nationally, Lawson earned a 9–7 decision over second-ranked Sabrina Nauss.
