BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Illinois Wesleyan captured the 2025 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Soccer Championship with a 1-0 victory over North Park on Saturday afternoon at Neis Field.
It’s the second CCIW Tournament crown for the Titans, who also claimed the 2023 title.
Joey Rodino delivered the decisive moment for Illinois Wesleyan, converting a penalty kick at the 21:55 mark of the first half to give the Titans the lead they would not relinquish. The goal was Rodino’s fourth of the season.
Despite facing consistent offensive pressure from North Park, Illinois Wesleyan’s defense stood tall behind goalkeeper Sam Kedzior, who recorded a 10-save shutout performance over the full 90 minutes. North Park outshot Illinois Wesleyan 23-16, including a 10-8 advantage in shots on goal, but could not break through against Kedzior and the Titan back line.
NPU goalkeeper Ludvig Almborg faced eight shots on goal and made seven saves in the effort. Each team earned two corner kicks.
