NAPERVILLE — Illinois Wesleyan and Carroll held steady in the new D3hoops.com national rankings released Monday. The Titans remained at No. 13, while Carroll continued to hold the No. 14 position.
Both teams climbed one position in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) rankings unveiled on Tuesday. IWU is now No. 15, while the Pios are No. 21.
Illinois Wesleyan (7-2, 3-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) won its fifth straight last Saturday in an 81-59 win at Elmhurst. The Titans are the first team to win three league games and join Carroll as the final two league unbeatens.
Carroll (7-2, 2-0 CCIW) is in the midst of a 12-day break from game competition. The Pioneers will take on WPI on Friday at 7 p.m. CT in the Daytona Beach Shootout in Daytona, Fla. CU will also play seventh-ranked Washington & Lee on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Daytona.
