NAPERVILLE --- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) placed 12 student-athletes on the 2025 D3football.com All-America Team, according to a Monday announcement. The selections included student-athletes from North Central, Wheaton and Carroll, with four earning First Team recognition.
Four CCIW student-athletes were named to the First Team, led by Carroll senior tight end Reed Breckheimer, who became the first Pioneer in program history to earn D3football.com First Team All-America honors after totaling 46 receptions and nine rushing touchdowns while accounting for 60 points.
Wheaton senior defensive end Peter Johanik earned First Team recognition after leading the conference with 14 sacks and 23 tackles for loss, while also setting a new program record with 60 career tackles for loss. North Central defensive tackle John Sullivan, the CCIW Don Larson Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year, secured his third First Team All-America honor of the season after posting 21 tackles for loss and 21 quarterback hurries. Graduate student kicker Aidan Ellison rounded out the First Team selections, converting 15-of-17 field goal attempts for the Cardinals, including a program-record 57-yarder, and earning the 2025 Fred Mitchell Award.
North Central led all Division III programs with six total All-America selections as the Cardinals advanced to their sixth consecutive national championship appearance. In addition to Sullivan and Ellison, offensive lineman Cortez Jones earned Second Team honors while anchoring the nation’s top-scoring offense at 49.4 points per game. Quarterback Garret Wilson was named to the Third Team after leading all divisions with a 207.0 passing efficiency rating and throwing 42 touchdown passes, while wide receiver Thomas Skokna also earned Third Team recognition after leading Division III with 23 touchdown receptions. On the defensive side, cornerback Rahmareon Roby collected Third Team honors after recording four interceptions and scoring two defensive touchdowns.
Wheaton accounted for five All-America selections, bringing the program’s all-time total to 55. Along with Johanik’s First Team distinction, tight end Ben Juska and offensive guard Aiden Byrne earned Third Team honors after contributing to an offense that ranked eighth nationally in scoring, with Juska accounting for 12 total touchdowns. Linebacker Zeke Harris was named to the Fourth Team after leading the CCIW with 119 total tackles, while punter Josiah Smith earned Fourth Team specialist recognition after setting a school record with a 45.8-yard punting average, becoming the first punter in program history to receive D3football.com All-America honors.
