NAPERVILLE – Alexander Jackson of Illinois Wesleyan is the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Wrestling Student-Athlete of the Week, according to a Tuesday afternoon announcement from the league office.
Jackson placed second at the Brown-Terrell Dubuque Invite at 285 pounds last Saturday, finishing the day with a 3-1 record. All three wins were pins.
The sophomore from Harvey, Ill. opened competition with a 39-second fall versus Hunter Hahn of Dubuque, then secured a quarterfinal pin in 1:58 against Cornell’s Noah Carl. His final victory of the day was in the semifinal round, a fall in 1:16 against Carthage’s Mason Kochersberger.
