NAPERVILLE – Carthage freshman Emily Belcik snagged College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week honors in women’s swimming on Tuesday afternoon.
The announcement marks Belcik’s second CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week selection this season.
The Chicago native swam a lifetime best in the 200 individual medley last Saturday at the Wisconsin Private Championships (2:14.97) in Kenosha. She also won the 200 freestyle (1:58.64) and 100 freestyle (54.44).
She later split 53.64 seconds swimming freestyle in the 400 medley relay and 24.60 seconds in the freestyle of the 200 medley relay.
