Illinois Wesleyan senior
Jen Kuhn (Normal, Ill.) ranks third in Division III with 1.83 runs batted in per game. Kuhn also ranks 11th nationally with 0.67 doubles per game and 17th nationally with a .579 batting average.
Elmhurst senior
Gianna Amundsen (Norridge, Ill.) ranks fifth in Division III with 3.20 assists per game.
Augustana freshman
Aubrey Gradin (Davenport, Iowa) ranks 10th in Division III with 1.71 runs batted in per game.
Millikin sophomore
Emily Kobel (Carlock, Ill.) ranks 12th in Division III with 0.44 sacrifice bunts per game.
North Park junior
Eden Baker (Lafayette, Ind.) ranks 12th in Division III with three shutouts.

AROUND THE CCIW
Augustana freshman
Alaina Diaz (Moline, Ill.) has recorded a hit in each of her first seven collegiate games, racing to a .522 batting average (12-for-23) that has helped the Vikings lead the CCIW in team batting average at .350. Diaz doubled twice as part of a career-high three-hit effort on March 11 in Augie’s 10-6 win over Coe. Diaz is also perfect in 29 defensive chances and has struck out only once in 26 plate appearances. Augustana (7-1), which opened the season with six straight wins, will visit NAIA Warner on Saturday for a twin bill at noon CST in Lake Wales, Fla.
Carroll junior
Kali Stanchina (Norway, Mich.) owns the conference’s highest on-base percentage at .643, racking up 11 hits and five walks in her first 11 starts of the campaign. She had a season-high three hits to help the Pioneers beat Kean 12-5 on March 8, then engineered a six-game hit streak from March 10 through March 13 during the Pios’ spring trip to Florida. Stanchina has also driven in seven runs and struck out only twice in 12 appearances in 2025. Carroll (7-7) is halfway through an eight-game stretch in Waukesha and will next host Beloit Saturday in a doubleheader at noon,
Carthage junior
Clare Rettler (Appleton, Wis.) was the CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year last spring and hasn’t missed a beat in 2025, leading the CCIW with 33 hits and 40 total bases through the Firebirds’ first 16 games. She has an active 26-game hit streak dating back to April 18 of last season, has 12 multi-hit games this season and erupted for four hits on Tuesday in Carthage’s 18-8 drubbing of Concordia Chicago. Rettler’s career batting average of .515 ranks fifth among active players in all NCAA Divisions. The Firebirds (11-5) will be the road team Friday night at 5:15 p.m. for two games at Beloit.
Elmhurst junior
Brenna Morley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) is one of two Bluejays with a .333 batting average through the season’s first five weeks. Morley is 7-for-21 with two doubles and a home run on March 27 against Benedictine that has given her a team-best slugging percentage of .571. Morley has also scored six runs, stolen three bases and has an active four-game hit streak since March 22. The Bluejays (3-8-1) will play their next four contests at home, starting with Sunday’s 1 p.m. doubleheader against Dominican.
Illinois Wesleyan senior
Jen Kuhn (Normal, Ill.) is the conference leader in batting average through the Titans’ first 12 games, going 22-for-38 (579) and hitting safely in all but three contests. She has had eight multi-hit games, including four-hit outbursts in victories over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on March 9 and again at Monmouth on March 18. With eight doubles and a home versus Trine at March 22 have given her a league-best .868 slugging percentage. IWU (7-5) will play four times at home this weekend at the IWU Invite, hosting Wartburg Saturday at 10 a.m. and DePauw Saturday at 4:45 p.m.
Millikin senior
Kendallyn Davison (Avon, Ind.) has been a versatile threat for the Big Blue through their first 16 games, batting .417 (20-for-48), ranking third in the league with 12 stolen bases and owning a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in 16 defensive chances. Her efforts have helped the Big Blue own the CCIW lead in stolen bases (54) and team fielding percentage (.965). Davison has reached base safely in all but two games this spring and had a season-high three hits last Friday in a 10-1 win over Hamilton. MU (8-8) is back in Decatur Friday for a 3 p.m. doubleheader against Webster.
North Central sophomore
Juliana Maude (Huntley, Ill.) owns a 5-3 record through her first 13 appearances of the season, which includes four starts. The 2024 CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year leads the league this spring with 50 strikeouts in just 42.0 innings, including a season-high punchouts in a complete-game 4-1 victory over Montclair State on March 13 in Clermont, Fla. Maude has won three of her last four decisions and has lowered her season-long earned-run average by a full run since March 12 to 3.67. North Central (10-8) will begin CCIW play Wednesday with a 3 p.m. doubleheader at Elmhurst.
North Park junior
Kayla Lorenz (Vernon Hills, Ill.) has a team-best five doubles in 2025, helping the Vikings collect a league-high 27 doubles and 1.69 doubles per game. Lorenz is batting .411 overall (23-for-56) in 16 appearances, adding a pair of triples for a .549 slugging percentage. She has seven multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 performance with two doubles against New England College on March 11. Lorenz has also played a big part of the NPU defense, totaling 41 assists to rank third among CCIW infielders. North Park (9-7) will travel to Saint Mary’s (Ind.) for two games Saturday at noon CST.
Wheaton senior
Olivia Nahorniak (Bristol, Wis.) is the Thunder’s leading hitter through 16 games, piling up 18 hits and four walks for a .375 average, a .455 on-base and .583 slugging percentage. Nahorniak owns an ongoing seven-game hit streak that has raised her batting average 30 points. Additionally, Nahorniak is one of the league’s toughest players to strikeout, having only gone down on strikes one time in 56 plate appearances. The Thunder (6-10) have won five of their last six games since March 22 and will play host to Olivet in a Saturday doubleheader at 1 p.m.
