NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week is Lexi Manteufel of Carthage. The sophomore from Franksville, Wis. placed second at the Wartburg Fall Invitational last Saturday and Sunday in Waverly, Iowa.
Manteufel, last season’s CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year, carded back-to-back even-par rounds of 72 to be runner-up in the 128-player field. The effort marked her third consecutive even-par round in her last two tournaments. Her performance also led the Firebirds to a fifth-place finish overall in the tournament out of a 21-team field.
