Curulewski Captures CCIW Men’s XC Weekly Award

NAPERVILLE – Carthage senior Jacob Curulewski was the winner of the Gil Dodds Invitational last Saturday in Warrenville, Ill. and was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Downers Grove, Ill. native ran an 8K time of 24:41 at St. James Farm Forest Preserve.  His time was 17 seconds ahead of the runner-up and also marked an 80-second improvement from the same race last year.  Curulewski's performance helped lead Carthage to a second-place finish out of 20 teams, including four from the CCIW.
