Millikin's Thomann Posts Double-Double Average in CCIW Weekly Selection

NAPERVILLE — Millikin junior guard Lane Thomann has been selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
 
A native of Mackinaw, Ill., Thomann averaged 31.0 points and 10.5 rebounds over two games. He shot 63.0 percent from the field (22-of-35) and 52.6 percent from three-point range (10-of-19).
 
Thomann opened the week with 28 points and eight rebounds in a 92-80 road win at Knox on Dec. 31, connecting on 5-of-7 attempts from beyond the arc. He followed with a double-double effort of 34 points and 13 rebounds in a one-point CCIW loss to Augustana on Saturday while adding five three-pointers.
 
In addition to his scoring output, Thomann totaled four steals and logged 69 minutes of action. He is now a two-time CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week in 2025-26.
