NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The battle for the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin women’s tennis regular-season title is closer than ever as teams near the end of their regular seasons. Wheaton College is one win away from clinching the regular-season title, while Augustana College remains in contention with one conference loss.
Previously undefeated Augustana fell to North Park University, 5-2, on Oct. 4 in a battle of the Vikings. Now with one loss, Augustana remains in contention for the regular-season title but will need to win its remaining league contests against North Central College and undefeated Wheaton. With a win against the Thunder, the Vikings can claim at least a share of the regular season title.
However, with a win Saturday against Augustana, the Thunder will move to 7-0 in league play and claim the regular-season title outright, along with the No. 1 seed in the 2026 CCIW Women’s Tennis Tournament.
