NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Park University's offensive line and Wheaton College's Colin Moore were named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week on Monday following their performances during Week 9 of the 2026 season.
North Park's offensive line, consisting of Caleb Apodaca, Kirk Fisher Jr., Giovanni Fox, Hadyn Turley, Daniel Young, Aaron Burton, Klayton Stevens and Christian Bryce, earned the program's first D3football.com Team of the Week recognition for the offensive line following the Vikings' 55-34 Homecoming victory over Carroll University on Saturday.
The Vikings rushed for 292 yards in the victory, their most in a single game since rushing for 331 yards against Millikin University on Nov. 5, 2011. The offensive line did not allow a sack throughout the contest, helping North Park average 8.8 yards per rushing attempt.
North Park also converted six of its 10 third-down opportunities and scored on both red-zone possessions. Quarterback Paul Palmer completed 13 of 19 passes and recorded just two rushing attempts.
Moore, a senior safety for Wheaton, forced a fumble midway through the fourth quarter in the Thunder's victory over Augustana College. The fumble, recovered by Wheaton at the Augustana 25-yard line, set up a 13-yard touchdown run four plays later that extended the Thunder's lead to 26-13.
Moore's forced fumble also counted as a 1-yard tackle for loss. He finished the contest with five total tackles, including four solo stops, and two pass breakups.
The D3football.com Team of the Week is in its 28th season of recognizing the top performances at each position from the previous week. Student-athletes are nominated by their institutions' sports information personnel.
