Vikings Capture Fourth Straight CCIW Men’s Swimming & Diving Title

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. — Augustana captured the 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Swimming & Diving Championship on Saturday night at the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex, finishing the four-day meet with a commanding 1,036 points.

The total marked the first time in program history that the Vikings eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier and secured the program’s fourth consecutive conference crown, the longest title streak in the Vikings’ men’s swimming and diving history.

Augustana entered the final session with a comfortable lead and added to its margin by winning three of the six events contested on Saturday night. Senior Tyler Leslie opened the evening’s individual swimming events with a victory in the 200-yard backstroke, posting a time of 1:51.73, and senior Oskar Bannister followed with a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in 45.83 seconds. Senior Mark Addison then completed his individual sweep of the breaststroke events by winning the 200-yard breaststroke in an NCAA “B” standard time of 2:00.45.

Wheaton earned the distance event victory as junior Isaac Eilmes won the 1,650-yard freestyle in 15:53.60, while Carthage freshman AJ Landorf claimed his first individual conference title with a winning time of 1:55.06 in the 200-yard butterfly. The championship concluded with Augustana’s quartet of Tyler Leslie, Emanuel Anguelov, Luke Rettig and Oskar Bannister winning the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:02.95.

Following the meet, the conference recognized several individual and team award winners. Augustana’s Mark Addison was named Swimming Student-Athlete of the Meet after finishing as a triple individual winner in the 500-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke.

Carthage’s Taydin Murphy earned Diving Student-Athlete of the Meet honors after successfully defending both his 1-meter (448.55) and 3-meter (458.75) conference titles last weekend. Carthage freshman AJ Landorf was selected as First-Year Student-Athlete of the Meet after adding a Saturday title in the 200-yard butterfly to a silver medal performance in the 100-yard butterfly.

Addison also received the Elite 26 Award for holding the highest cumulative GPA among All-CCIW participants while serving as a major point contributor for the Vikings. Augustana was named Coaching Staff of the Year, with first-year head coach Ramsey Vens and her staff recognized for leading the Vikings to their historic fourth straight title.

The final men’s team standings were Augustana in first with 1,036 points, followed by Wheaton with 876, Carthage with 756, Illinois Wesleyan with 213, Carroll with 199, Millikin with 160, and North Central with 23.
