NAPERVILLE — A pair of Carthage student-athletes were recognized by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) following strong performances at the Wisconsin Private Championships, as AJ Landorf and Kevin Sarazin earned the conference’s Men’s Swimming and Men’s Diving Student-Athlete of the Week honors, respectively.
Swimming: AJ Landorf, Carthage
Landorf posted a lifetime-best time of 1:56.80 to win the 200-yard butterfly, improving his previous mark by five seconds. He also claimed first place in the 400-yard individual medley with a season-best time of 4:17.20 and won the 100-yard backstroke in 52.02. Landorf added a 47.65 split in the 400-yard freestyle relay, contributing to Carthage’s team victory with 331.50 points.
Diving: Kevin Sarazin, Carthage
Sarazin recorded season-best scores on both boards, posting a score of 285.45 on the 3-meter and 265.55 on the 1-meter.
