NAPERVILLE — The 2025-26 postseason honors for College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men’s basketball included recognition across both the D3hoops.com All-Region 8 and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 8 teams.
Illinois Wesleyan led the conference’s award recipients, with sophomore Noah Cleveland and head coach Ron Rose collecting major regional honors, while additional all-region and all-district recognition went to student-athletes from Wheaton, Elmhurst, Carthage and North Park.
Cleveland was named D3hoops.com Region 8 Player of the Year and Region 8 Rookie of the Year, becoming the first student-athlete since D3hoops.com began presenting both awards in 2007 to earn them in the same season. He also received NABC District 8 Player of the Year recognition.
In addition to his individual awards, Cleveland was selected to the First Team by both D3hoops.com and the NABC. He averaged 18.8 points and 11.4 rebounds per game during the season and ranked sixth in NCAA Division III with 16 double-doubles.
Rose was named the D3hoops.com Region 8 Coach of the Year after guiding Illinois Wesleyan to a 26-4 overall record and conference regular-season and tournament titles. The award marked the second regional coach of the year honor of his career.
IWU’s Mason Funk was named to the D3hoops.com Second Team. Funk led the CCIW in both blocked shots and steals, becoming the first player in more than 15 years to finish first in the conference in both categories during the same season. His 73 blocked shots also rank second in program history for a single season.
Wheaton’s Soren Richardson earned D3hoops.com Second Team All-Region and NABC Second Team All-District honors. Richardson led the CCIW in scoring for the second consecutive season at 22.4 points per game, a figure that ranked 24th nationally.
Elmhurst’s Dominic Trelenberg was selected to the NABC Second Team All-District and the D3hoops.com Third Team All-Region. Trelenberg averaged 18.1 points per game and helped lead the Bluejays to an appearance in the CCIW Tournament championship game.
Carthage’s Ryan Johnson also received NABC Second Team All-District and D3hoops.com Third Team All-Region recognition. Johnson posted 13 double-doubles during the season and finished second in the conference in rebounding.
North Park’s Mike Vuckovic was named to the D3hoops.com Third Team All-Region. In his first season as a starter, Vuckovic led the Vikings in scoring at 19.6 points per game and ranked second on the team with 122 assists.
The conference honors come as Illinois Wesleyan prepares for an NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship sectional semifinal matchup against Emory on Thursday in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The D3hoops.com All-Region teams are selected through voting by sports information directors, while the NABC All-District teams are chosen by member coaches. All student-athletes recognized on the regional and district teams remain eligible for their respective All-America teams, which are scheduled to be announced later this month.
