LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Six student-athletes from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) were named to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region teams, announced last Thursday by the organization.
The NFCA recognized 386 student-athletes from 161 schools across Division III. The CCIW’s selections came from Carthage, Illinois Wesleyan and Millikin in Region VIII.
Carthage senior outfielder Clare Rettler earned Region VIII First Team honors after leading the Firebirds during the 2026 season. Rettler hit .614 with a .654 on-base percentage and an .800 slugging percentage. She finished the year with 86 hits and a career-high 58 stolen bases for a Carthage team that closed the season 20-21 overall.
Millikin placed three student-athletes on the Region VIII Second Team following a 26-15 season that included a 12-4 record in CCIW play. Senior catcher Ann Marie Meek hit .398 with 13 doubles and 30 RBIs, while outfielder Charley Condill led the Big Blue with a .467 batting average and 49 hits. Condill also stole 26 bases. Outfielder Summer Wynn added a power presence in the Millikin lineup, hitting .393 with team highs of eight home runs and 46 RBIs.
Illinois Wesleyan, the CCIW regular-season and tournament champion, had two seniors recognized after finishing 31-15 and advancing to an NCAA regional championship game. Pitcher Gianna Certa was selected to the Region VIII Second Team after earning CCIW Pitcher of the Year honors earlier this month. Certa finished the season with 13 wins, a 2.00 earned-run average, 98 strikeouts, seven shutouts and one no-hitter.
Shortstop Anna Beckman received Region VIII Third Team recognition for the Titans. Beckman hit .368 and led Illinois Wesleyan with a .460 on-base percentage and 23 stolen bases while earning the first all-region honor of her career.
The NFCA All-Region awards are voted on by NFCA member head coaches from each of the association’s 10 regions. All honorees advance for consideration for the NFCA Division III All-America teams, which will be announced May 27.
