NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The regular season College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin women's tennis title race moves into another weekend of competition with Carthage College, Augustana College, and Wheaton College sitting atop the standings.
Carthage and Augustana are each 2-0 in CCIW play, while Wheaton sits at 1-0. North Central College and Carroll University are each 1-1, followed by Illinois Wesleyan University at 0-1. Millikin University and North Park University are 0-2, while Elmhurst University has yet to begin its conference schedule.

Carthage opened its conference slate with a pair of road victories over North Park and Carroll. The Firebirds edged North Park 4-3 in their season opener before earning a 5-1 victory over Carroll. Augustana matches Carthage's 2-0 start after earning wins over Illinois Wesleyan and Millikin. The Vikings opened CCIW competition with a 6-1 victory at Illinois Wesleyan before recording a 7-0 sweep at Millikin.
Wheaton remains unbeaten in conference action after opening its CCIW schedule with a 5-2 victory over North Park. Carroll and North Central sit at 1-1 through their first two conference matches. Carroll earned its league victory over North Central, marking the Pioneers' first win over the Cardinals since 2017.
CCIW Players of the Week
Carroll's Kate Trifilio earned the first CCIW Women's Tennis Player of the Week honor of the season after helping lead the Pioneers past North Central. Trifilio went undefeated with victories at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles, clinching the team match with a three-set singles win.
Carthage's Niki Manojlovic followed with CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week honors after helping the Firebirds to their 5-1 victory over Carroll. Manojlovic went undefeated at No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles, earning a 6-2 doubles win before adding a 6-2, 6-3 singles victory.
