NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Thanks to the contributions of this week’s College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s Soccer Players of the Week Faheem Mujahid and David Tracewicz, both Illinois Wesleyan University and North Park University continued winning streaks this past week as the Titans ran their winning streak to four matches and the Vikings continued an unbeaten run of six matches.

Offensive
Faheem Mujahid, Illinois Wesleyan (Defender, Senior, Saint Robert, Mo.)
Mujahid scored in both of IWU’s matches this week, bagging one in a 3-0 victory over Blackburn College and posting a brace in a 4-0 win over Monmouth College that included the game-winning goal in the opening minute of play.
IWU has won four straight matches by a combined score of 12-0 and opens conference play with a huge clash at No. 21 North Central College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Defensive
David Tracewicz, North Park (Defender, Sophomore, Franklin Park, Ill.)
Not only did David Tracewicz score his first two collegiate goals this past week, tallying the game-winners in a 2-0 defeat of Kalamazoo College and a 3-0 decimation of Trine University, but the sophomore keyed another stout week of defense from the Vikings who have now registered five consecutive shutouts and haven’t allowed a goal in nearly 500 minutes of play.
That back line will be tested once again on Wednesday night in a non-conference tuneup against the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater before NPU hosts Wheaton College on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the CCIW opener for both squads.
