Teams
Augustana
The Vikings recently placed third at the Clarke Invitational as Megan Vandersee was second with a score of 80. A week earlier, the team placed in a tie for second at the Wisconsin-Platteville Invitational . Vandersee took eighth (94-90-184), while Morgan Wilkinson was 10th (89-97-186) and Brittany Carr was 12th (97-91-188).

Carthage
The Lady Reds came away with a first place finish in their final event before the conference championship, winning their own invitational on October 2. Carthage won with a team score of 358, five strokes ahead of second place finisher North Central. Katie Ramirez tied for fifth with a score of 88. Heidi Hoffman and Aubrie Morano tied for seventh as each player shot an 89. Carthage finished fourth at the Millikin Red Tail Run Invitational a week earlier, finishing with a two-day score of 681 (341-340).

Elmhurst
Elmhurst placed second at the DuHawk Fall Invitational, hosted by Loras College September 24-25. Amber Remblake and Amanda Wright both shot identical scores of 196 to tie for 11th place in the two-day event. A week earlier, the Bluejays placed third at their own Bluejay Classic at the Oak Brook Golf Club. They shot a one-day total of 366 as Kelly Partyka placed eighth with a score of 89.

Illinois Wesleyan
The Titans have won eight straight CCIW Women’s Golf titles and have been to the NCAA Championship in each of the last six seasons. Their best finish came in 2008 when they placed fourth. Recently, Illinois Wesleyan was second at the NCAA Division III Women’s Preview, held September 26-27 at Mission Inn at Howey in the Hills, Fla. The Titans finished with a team score of 665 (338-327), only four strokes behind defending national champion Methodist. Erica Woodall shot a 160 (82-78) to finish second. Katie Klosterman tied for fifth (86-80-166) while Megan Geraghty tied for ninth (84-84-168).  

Millikin
Senior Brittany Hassee was the individual winner at Carthage’s fall invitational on October 1 as she finished with a score of 83. Brittany Holmes tied for third with a score of 87. As a team, the Big Blue finished third with a score of 367. Millikin finished sixth at its own event a week earlier, carding a team score of 692 (335-357). Holmes was the Big Blue’s top finisher as she placed sixth (78-79-157).

North Central
North Central’s Alyssa Gaudio was named the CCIW Women’s Golfer of the Week three-straight times this season with her most recent recognition coming on September 22 when she placed third at the Illinois Wesleyan Classic held September 18-19. Gaudio finished with a score of 151 (76-75). In their final event before the conference championship, the Cardinals placed second at the Carthage Fall Classic on October 4 with a team score of 363. Mallory Carr was second with a score of 84 while Marisa Miko was seventh, carding an 89.

North Park
The Vikings are led by senior Colleen Horgan who shot a 91 at the Benedictine Invitational on September 18 while competing as an individual. Horgan also shot a 98 along with teammate Kaitlin Scott at the Bluejay Classic on September 21.

Wheaton
Wheaton had a successful tune-up in its final event before the conference championship. The Thunder placed first at the Olivet Invitational held September 24-25 at the Medalist Golf Club. Wheaton finished with a team score of 686 (346-340), one stroke ahead of host Olivet. Casi Blanton won CCIW Women’s Golfer of the Week honors for her performance at Olivet. She finished first with a two-day score of 159 (79-80) while teammate Sarah L. Moore was second (82-80-162).
