Augustana
Kim Sawyer (Batavia, Ill./H.S.) was Augustana’s most consistent performer at No. 1 singles, going 11-1 including 5-1 in the CCIW. Krista Panko (Geneva, Ill./H.S.) and Brittany Reece (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) was 7-5 overall playing at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles including a 3-3 record in the CCIW.
Carthage
Carthage No. 1 singles player Hollis McPeek (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) won her final tune-up before the conference championship, defeating Carroll’s Abigail Pellett (3-6, 6-3, 10-3) on October 1 as the Lady Reds won the team match 6-3. Abby Ludwig (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) (5 singles), Kristina Naidicz (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) (3 singles) and Bari Reynolds (Sterling, Ill./H.S.) (2 singles) all finished 5-1 in CCIW play this season.
Elmhurst
Jordyn Hoover (Vista, Calif./H.S.) had her team’s best conference record in singles, going 3-3 playing in both the No. 3 and No. 4 position. Hoover teamed with No. 1 singles player Stephanie Ruff (Elmhurst, Ill./Nazareth Academy) to go 2-4 while playing in both Nos. 1 and 2 doubles.
Illinois Wesleyan
Andrea Kerwin (Naperville, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) and Helen Alex (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South) both went 4-3 (3-2 in the CCIW with one match to play) at their Nos. 1 and 2 singles positions, respectively. Both teamed up to go 4-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Millikin
Kendall Robison (Decatur, Ill./St. Teresa) finished with her team’s best record this fall, going 3-4 at No. 1 singles, 1-4 in the CCIW with one match to play. The Big Blue face Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, October 5.
North Central
Madeline Urban (West Chicago, Ill./H.S.) finished with the best record on her team in CCIW play this season, going 5-1 mostly from her No. 4 singles position. Cory Schillerstrom (Naperville, Ill./Central) was the Cardinals’ No. 1 singles player. She went 6-4 overall at No. 1 singles and 7-3 at No. 1 doubles with teammate Katie Hatch (Maple Park, Ill./Kaneland).
Wheaton
Elizabeth Worsowicz (Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge) recently advanced to the semifinals in singles play of the ITA Central Regional last weekend, and the quarterfinals in doubles play with teammate Sarah Ray (Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe). Worsowicz is 8-1 at No. 1 singles this season heading into this weekend’s conference championship. The Thunder were a combined 36-0 in CCIW singles matches and 17-1 in CCIW doubles matches.
