How has your military training helped shape your athletics career?
The military helped me to learn discipline and strengthen my work ethic. No quit attitude. The only downside is that my knees always hurt, so that hurt my athletic career sometimes.
What's the biggest benefit you take away from your training?
The bonds I made with the people I worked with and the GI bill.
What ultimately drew you to compete at Carthage and what do you enjoy most about your institution?
I've been an athlete all my life, so when I had the opportunity to compete at a college level I jumped at it. I also missed being part of a team and having a group of friends I can rely on.
