2016 CCIW All-Conference Women's Soccer Team
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced the recipients of the 24-member 2016 All-Conference Women’s Soccer Team on Monday.
The all-conference team, which was chosen by the CCIW’s head women’s soccer coaches, featured a first team of 12 student-athletes and a second team of 12 student-athletes as all nine CCIW institutions were represented.
In addition to the all-conference honors, Carroll sophomore forward
Rachel Van Sluys (Sheboygan, Wis./South) was named the CCIW Player of the Year, becoming the first Pioneer player in conference history to win the CCIW’s top women’s soccer honor after Carroll rejoined the conference this season.
Illinois Wesleyan’s Dave Barrett won his second-straight (fifth overall) CCIW Coach of the Year honor after leading his team to a share of the CCIW regular season title and the conference tournament title. The Titans will make their fourth-straight NCAA postseason appearance this weekend.

Ellie Crabtree (Glen Carbon, Ill./Edwardsville) was the Titan’s third-straight CCIW Newcomer of the Year winner after she earned first team all-conference honors.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2015-16 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,600 academic all-conference recipients, 14 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 36 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and over 100 all-Americans.
