NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Claire Norfleet and Augustana’s Nellie Bubb were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday.
 
Norfleet, a senior midfielder from Ellisville, Missouri and Lafayette High School (Sport Management/Marketing major), won her second-straight CCIW Offensive Player of the Week honor as the Cardinals finished 3-0 including two CCIW wins. She finished with a goal and five assists in a 16-13 win over Aurora on April 11, four goals and two assists in an 18-0 shutout of Elmhurst on April 13, and four goals and five assists in a 22-2 win over Carroll on April 16. She also finished the week with five ground balls and 10 draw controls.
 
Bubb, a senior defender from Excelsior, Minnesota and Holy Family Catholic High School (Psychology major), helped lead the Vikings to a pair of CCIW wins last week. In a 19-4 win over Dubuque on April 13, Augustana held the Spartans to just seven shots on goal, while in an 18-7 win over Carthage on April 16, the Vikings held the Lady Reds to just 10 shots on goal. Both Dubuque and Carthage came into its contests against Augustana averaging 22.5 and 24.5 shots respectively. Bubb totaled four ground balls, three draw controls and five caused turnovers on the week.
