Alexis Flores and North Park's
Erlend Kemkers were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Soccer Players of the Week on Tuesday.
Flores, a senior forward from Hanover Park, Illinois and Schaumburg High School, helped lead the Cardinals to a 2-0-0 record last week with three goals and one assist. He tallied a hat trick during a 3-2 overtime win at Wheaton last Tuesday including the game-winner in the 92nd minute. Flores scored the match's final three goals, erasing a 2-0 first half deficit. Flores added an assist to Jack Fairwood's goal in the 81st minute of a 2-0 shutout against Benedictine on Sunday.
Kemkers, a senior midfielder from Larvik, Norway, helped lead a Viking defense that allowed just 12 total shots (four on goal) in victories over Dubuque on Tuesday and Millikin on Saturday. He scored the first goal in the eighth minute of a 4-1 win over the Spartans, and also helped lead the way in a 5-0 shutout of the Big Blue as Millikin was held to five shots (one on goal).

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
