2019 CCIW All-Conference Football Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced on Wednesday the members of the 2019 All-Conference Football Team.

This year's all-conference team featured a total of 60 players including Washington University in St. Louis senior Johnny Davidson, who was selected as a First Team punter and a Second Team quarterback. 

North Central senior quarterback Broc Rutter became a three-time winner of the Art Keller Offensive Player of the Year award as he started all 10 games and passed for 3,120 yards on 213-of-295 passing with 41 touchdowns and only two interceptions. He is the first three-time winner since former North Central quarterback Aaron Fanthorpe collected three-straight Offensive Player of the Year awards from 2007 to 2009. 

Wheaton senior defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year, marking the fifth time in six seasons that a Thunder student-athlete claimed the award. McRae finished with 6.5 sacks, 15.5 tackles-for-loss and 43 total tackles (28 solo). The Wheaton defense gave up just 62 points and opponents scored just 6.2 points per game against the Thunder. 

North Central junior offensive lineman Sharmore Clarke earned CCIW Offensive Lineman of the Year honors for the second-straight season as the Cardinal offense led the conference with 5,696 yards including 2,345 rushing yards. Clarke is a three-time all-conference player including two-straight First Team honors. 

Wheaton's Mike Swider won his seventh Bob Reade Coach of the Year award after the Thunder claimed their 19th CCIW title in program history and earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Football Championship.

Wheaton will host Martin Luther in the first round at Noon this Saturday and can be followed via the Thunder's Live Video and Live Stats links. Additionally, North Central will host Wabash at Noon on Saturday and can be followed via the Cardinals' Live Video and Live Stats links.
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
