Amara Leith and Carthage's
Stefanie Guercio were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Softball Players of the Week on Tuesday.
Leith, a senior infielder from Waukegan, Illinois and Zion-Benton High School (Spanish major), batted .615 (8-for-13) with six runs, two doubles, one home run, four RBIs and a 1.000 slugging percentage for the 4-0 Vikings last week. She went 1-for-2 with one run and one walk in an 8-0 shutout of Newbury on March 10. Later in the day, she finished 2-for-4 with two runs and one double in a 8-0 win over Juniata on March 10. Leith helped lead North Park to a pair of wins on March 11 including a 7-2 victory over Scranton and 12-7 over Marywood. Against Scranton, Leith was 3-for-4 with two runs, one walk and two RBIs, while against Marywood, she finished 2-for-3 with one run, one double, one walk and two RBIs.
Guercio, a junior pitcher from Park Ridge, Illinois and Maine Township High School (Mathematics major), won her second-straight CCIW Pitcher of the Week honor after going 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA in three appearances last week. She went 4.0 innings and gave up one hit, three walks and struck out six batters in a 9-0 win over Penn State-Brandywine on March 6. She then pitched 5.0 innings and gave up two hits and struck out nine batters in an 8-0 win over Eastern on March 7. She finished the week by going 7.0 innings and gave up three hits, two walks and struck out 12 batters in a 3-0 shutout of Roanoke on March 8.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2017-18 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,100 academic all-conference recipients, 15 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 28 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
