NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Jessica Deetjen and Christina Truver were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday.

Deetjen, a junior midfielder from Naperville, Illinois and Naperville North High School (Exercise Science major), registered 17 goals, three assists and three ground balls for the 3-0 Cardinals last week. She had eight goals, one assist and three ground balls in a 19-13 win at Birmingham-Southern on March 19, four goals and two assists in a 19-2 victory at Johnson & Wales on March 23, and five goals in an 18-6 win over UW-River Falls on March 24. Additionally, against Johnson & Wales, Deetjen successfully completed 4-of-4 free position shots to free position goals. 

Truver, a junior midfielder from Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Fremd High School (English major), totaled seven caused turnovers, 19 draw controls and 25 ground balls for the Cardinals last week. She recorded two caused turnovers, seven draw controls and 12 ground balls against Birmingham-Southern, one caused turnover, six draw controls and six ground balls against Johnson & Wales, and four caused turnovers, six draw controls and seven ground balls vs. UW-River Falls. Additionally, Truver contributed offensively with eight goals and six assists last week.
