NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- For the second-straight week, North Central claimed both College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors following a 2-0 record last week.
Sophomore attacker
Grace Steiner, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and Wyoming High School (Neuroscience major), combined for eight goals, three assists and seven ground balls in two Cardinal wins. She had two goals, two assists and three ground balls in a 17-6 win at Benedictine on March 27, followed by six goals, one assist and four ground balls in a 20-2 win at Dubuque in the CCIW opener on March 30.
Junior midfielder
Christina Truver, a native of Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Fremd High School (English major), won her second-straight CCIW Defensive Player of the Week honor on Monday as she combined for 10 caused turnovers and 13 ground balls for the Cardinals last week. She had six caused turnovers and eight ground balls against Benedictine and four caused turnovers and five ground balls against Dubuque. Additionally, Truver combined for 14 draw controls including eight against Benedictine and six against Dubuque.

During the 2017-18 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,100 academic all-conference recipients, 15 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 28 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
