Kaitlyn Zanon and North Central junior goalkeeper
Madison Lockard were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Soccer Players of the Week on Tuesday.
A native of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Waukesha West High School, Zanon combined for two goals and one assist in a pair of 3-0 shutouts last week. She had two goals in the win against Wisconsin Lutheran on September 6 including a bending goal on a corner kick and one off of a free kick from 30 yards out. Zanon added an assist in the shutout at Beloit on September 8.
A native of Oswego, Illinois and Oswego High School, Lockard was in goal for both matches last week as the Cardinals went 1-0-1. She made seven saves in a 4-1 win over Illinois Institute of Technology on September 4, and six saves in a 0-0 draw at UW-Whitewater on September 7. Lockard is currently 3-0-1 with a .917 save percentage this season.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
