NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's
Riley Bachinski and Illinois Wesleyan's
Zac Taylor were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday.
Bachinski, a sophomore attacker from Savage, Minnesota and Prior Lake High School, led the Cardinals in scoring during a 13-7 win over Marian on Saturday, keeping North Central undefeated on the season. Bachinski led with a game-high six goals on 11 shots, nine of which were on goal.
Taylor, a sophomore face-off specialist from Brighton, Michigan and Brighton High School, combined to go 16-of-21 in face-offs for the 2-0 Titans last week. He was 5-of-8 with three ground balls during a 12-11 win over Aurora on March 24, followed by and 11-of-13 performance in face-offs, along with 11 ground balls and two goals during a 21-18 win over Southern Virginia on Saturday.
