NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan's Evan Ranneklev and North Central's Luke Lamm were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday. 

Ranneklev, a junior outfielder from Naperville, Illinois and Neuqua Valley High School, helped lead Illinois Wesleyan to a 4-1 record last week including a pair of wins over nationally-ranked Augustana. He finished with a team-high 12 hits on a .522 batting average, including a double, triple, seven RBI, four runs and three stolen bases. He also registered multiple hits in all five games. Ranneklev started the week with 3-for-4 and 3-for-5 efforts in a doubleheader sweep of Wheaton. He then tallied two hits in each of Illinois Wesleyan's three games against Augustana. In the opener, he went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. He then added three RBI on a 2-for-4 showing to complete the doubleheader sweep on April 17. In the finale, Ranneklev went 2-for-5 with a run scored. He's now reached base in 24-straight games and holds a 14-game hitting streak.

Lamm, a junior pitcher from Bolingbrook, Illinois and Plainfield East High School, earned his second CCIW Pitcher of the Week honor this season after leading the Cardinals to a 7-0 win over Carthage on April 18. Lamm went the distance in earning a complete-game shutout on just 99 pitches. He totaled six strikeouts and only one walk and scattered five hits, all singles. With the win, Lamm moved to 6-0 on the season.
