NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Emily Miller and Carroll's Amanda Osterhus were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Softball Players of the Week on Tuesday. 

Miller, a senior outfielder/infielder from McHenry, Illinois and Marian Central Catholic High School, batted .478 (11-for-23) with four runs, six RBI, three doubles and a .609 slugging percentage for the 5-2 Cardinals last week. Miller is currently on a nine-game hitting streak including a combined 4-for-6 performance in a doubleheader sweep of North Park on April 15. She was also a combined 4-for-6 at the plate in a sweep of Mount Mary on April 15, and picked up a hit in each of her next three contests including a doubleheader against Carroll on April 17 and a single game against Wheaton on April 19. 

Osterhus, a senior pitcher from Munster, Indiana and Munster High School, was 4-1 with a 0.51 ERA in 27.2 innings pitched last week. She gave up just two earned runs, eight walks and had 28 strikeouts in her five appearances. Osterhus opened the week with her second no-hitter of the season and fourth of her career in a 12-0 win over North Park on April 13. She earned a complete-game shutout with nine strikeouts in a 3-0 win over Wheaton on April 15. Two days later, she pitched another complete game in a 3-1 victory at North Central. Osterhus picked up her third-straight complete-game victory in a 4-1 win over Illinois Wesleyan on April 18.
