NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Park's Jake Reinhardt and North Central's Jason Shanner were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday. 

Reinhardt, a senior shortstop from Princeton, Illinois and Princeton High School, totaled four home runs and 11 RBI in a three-game series with Wheaton over the weekend. Reinhardt opened the series by going 2-for-5 with three runs, two home runs and five RBI in an 11-4 win on Friday, April 23. He was 2-for-5 with four runs, one home run and three RBI in a 13-11 win over the Thunder in Game 1 of a double header on Saturday, April 24. In Game 2, Reinhardt was 2-for-4 with two runs, one home run and three RBI in a 10-9 loss. He's not committed an error in eight games and is currently fielding .984 at the shortstop position. Reinhardt has struck out just once in his last 13 games. 

Shanner, a senior pitcher from St. Charles, Illinois and St. Charles North High School, went the distance in a 6-2 win at Millikin on April 24. After giving up two runs in the first inning, Shanner kept the Big Blue scoreless the rest of the way. He finished with a career-high 13 strikeouts, gave up no walks and five hits. Shanner moved to 5-1 on the season.
