2021 CCIW All-Conference Baseball Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced today the 32 members of the 2021 All-Conference Baseball Team. 

North Park senior infielder Jake Reinhardt became the program's first CCIW Hitter of the Year since Dan Casas in 1992. Reinhardt batted .441 (60-for-136) with 40 runs, nine doubles, five triples, 15 home runs, 52 RBI and a .912 slugging percentage in 32 conference games this season. His 15 home runs broke a North Park single-season record that had stood since 1987. 

North Central junior Luke Lamm became the Cardinals' third-straight recipient of the CCIW Pitcher of the Year award. He finished 9-0 with 61 strikeouts and a 2.04 ERA in 10 appearances this season. Lamm is North Central's fourth recipient of this honor, joining Bryan Polowy (2015), Russell Hoh (2018) and Charlie Klemm (2019). 

Following the program's sixth-straight conference regular season title, North Central's Ed Mathey was named the CCIW Coach of the Year for the seventh time in his career. The Cardinals finished 27-5 in conference play as the sixth-straight title set a new conference record, beating the previous mark of five set by Illinois Wesleyan from 1956 to 1960.

North Central freshman outfielder Luke Lehnen was named the CCIW Newcomer of the Year as he batted .333 (47-for-141) with 41 runs, eight doubles, five triples, two home runs, 22 RBI and a .504 slugging percentage in 32 conference games this season. He is the third Cardinal to receive this honor, joining Bobby Smith (2015) and Mike Wisz (2018).
