NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin's (CCIW) 75th anniversary celebration continues with a new monthly feature titled The Decade Series.

Each month from now until June of 2021, CCIW institutions will feature one individual who competed and/or coached during each of the decades between 1946 and 2021. Institutional Sports Information Directors will conduct a video interview, which will be posted to the CCIW's YouTube channel and showcased on CCIW.org. 

The series continues with North Park Sports Information Graduate Assistant Scot Gladstone speaking with 2013 graduate and former baseball student-athlete Nick Soldano.

As a junior in 2012, Soldano turned in his best performance with the Vikings. He appeared in 15 games, made 13 starts with a team-high 101 innings pitched and was 9-2 with a 3.12 earned run average and led the team with 99 strikeouts. Soldano was named an ABCA /Rawlings NCAA Division III All-American, the D3baseball.com Pitcher of the Year and the CCIW's Most Outstanding Pitcher. 

He closed out his collegiate career in 2014 by going 6-1 with a 2.37 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 10 appearances.

Soldano was a two-time All-CCIW First Team pitcher (2012, 2014), was part of two CCIW regular season titles (2011, 2012) a CCIW Tournament title (2012), as well as an NCAA regional appearance in 2012.

He is currently the Senior Executive Recruiter for Integrated Management Resources in Scottsdale, Arizona.
