NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Making its NCAA postseason debut, the University of Chicago women's lacrosse team claimed a 20-2 victory at home over Hamline on Saturday to advance to next week's regional round.

Chicago is coming off a share of its first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) regular season and CCIW Tournament titles in 2021.
Additionally, Illinois Wesleyan, making its fourth-straight NCAA postseason appearance, opened the tournament on Saturday with a 13-12 win over George Fox in Memphis, Tennessee. The Titans fell to 10th-ranked Messiah 20-3 on Saturday in the second round. It was Illinois Wesleyan's third-straight advancement to the second round.
Illinois Wesleyan earned a share of its third-straight CCIW regular season title following a 4-1 finish in conference play (11-4 overall).
Carroll made its NCAA Tournament debut on Sunday in a 13-8 loss to Aurora at the University of Chicago. The Pioneers claimed a share of their first CCIW regular season title and finished 11-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
