NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan's Jalen Ping and North Central's Charlie Klemm were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Ping, a junior outfielder from Chatham, Illinois and Glenwood High School, batted .714 (5-for-7) with five runs, three doubles, eight RBI and a 1.143 slugging percentage as the Titans outscored their opponents 46-5 last week. He was 3-for-4 with two doubles, one walk, two runs and four RBI in a 23-4 win at Knox on March 29. Ping then went 2-for-3 with one double and four RBI in a 23-1 win over Carthage in the CCIW opener on April 3. 

Klemm, a senior pitcher from Darien, Illinois and Hinsdale South High School, moved to 3-1 on the season during a 9-5 victory at Millikin on April 2. He pitched seven innings, scattered five hits and one earned run, no walks and six strikeouts.
