NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's
Scott Allgood and Illinois Wesleyan's
Zac Taylor were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday.
Allgood, a senior midfielder from Naperville, Illinois and Naperville North High School, helped secure the Cardinals a place in this week's CCIW Tournament during a 14-8 win against Transylvania on April 29. Allgood tied his season-high with four goals and added one assist against the Pioneers as the win clinched North Central the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.
Taylor, a senior face-off specialist from Brighton, Michigan and Brighton High School, helped lead the Titans to a 25-15 win over Elmhurst on April 30, which clinched a CCIW regular season title. He finished 19-of-25 on face-offs (76 percent) and added 12 ground balls and a caused turnover against the Bluejays.
