2022 CCIW All-Conference Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced today the 30 members of the 2022 All-Conference Softball Team.

Additionally, the conference announced its season-ending award recipients, and the nine RESPECT Award winners.

Illinois Wesleyan senior infielder Colleen Palcynski won her second-straight CCIW Student-Athlete of the Year award as she batted .380 with 14 runs, one double, seven home runs, 21 RBI and a .820 slugging percentage in 16 conference games this season.

Millikin junior Addison Sargent was named the CCIW Pitcher of the Year. She finished with a 0.93 ERA, was 6-1 in eight appearances, with 47 strikeouts in 45.1 innings pitched.

Millikin freshman outfielder KJ Davison was named the CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year as she was the only freshman named to the First Team on Thursday.

Millikin also won its second-straight CCIW Coaching Staff of the Year honors as the head coaching duo of Katie Tenboer and Whitney Sowers led the Big Blue to their second-straight regular season title with a 13-3 record. Millikin is hosting this weekend's CCIW Softball Tournament this Thursday through Saturday.

RESPECT Award: At the conclusion of every sports season, each varsity program will recognize one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
