NAPERVILLE – North Central’s Jordan Lange (offense) and Augustana’s Janey Castoe (defense) have been selected as Women’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW), the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Offense: Jordan Lange, North Central
Lange was a big part of the Cardinals’ offense in two CCIW victories last week. She had a pair of assists for NCC – one in each half – in its 4-0 win at Wheaton last Wednesday. The freshman from Aurora, Ill. was the finisher three days later, scoring in the 37th and 72nd minutes of the Cardinals’ 6-0 victory over Carthage. Her selection marks the fourth consecutive CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week choice for North Central.
 
Defense: Janey Castoe, Augustana
A two-time CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week in 2023 and a four-time winner for her career, Castoe piled up 14 saves in two CCIW clean sheets for Augie last week. The senior played the full 90 minutes in both starts, stopping all six shots on target in a 1-0 triumph over Illinois Wesleyan last Wednesday and following with eight more saves to help the Vikings draw with Millikin last Saturday, 0-0.
