NAPERVILLE – Elle Sutter of North Central (offense) and Sophie Dorgan of Millikin (defense) have been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week, according to a Tuesday afternoon announcement from the league office.
 
Offense: Elle Sutter, North Central
Sutter – who was chosen as CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week on Sept. 19 – had a five-point match for the Cardinals in their 6-2 triumph at Ohio Wesleyan last Saturday. The senior from Peoria, Ill. scored twice in the first half and assisted on a 53rd-minute strike that gave NCC additional insurance.
 
The performance gave Sutter 33 points on the season – a new single-season North Central record.
 
Defense: Sophie Dorgan, Millikin
Dorgan, a native of Bloomington, Ill., earned back-to-back clean sheets against CCIW foes for Millikin last week, including a three-save shutout of Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday in Decatur. The senior followed by picking up her seventh career shutout on Saturday in a 0-0 draw at North Park.
