NAPERVILLE – Augustana right-hander Harrison Boushele earned his fourth College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week award of 2023 and North Central infielder Cole Gregario collected his first selection, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
Boushele continued his strong 2023 campaign on Friday in Rock Island, throwing 8.0 scoreless innings in the Vikings’ 10-0 win over Carthage. He logged 108 pitches, striking out 11 and scattering three hits to improve his season record to 6-2 and lower his 2023 earned-run average to 1.29.
Gregario helped the Cardinals to three CCIW wins last week, hitting .667 (8-for-12) with three doubles and 10 RBI. He slugged at a .917 clip and had multiple hits and RBI in all three contests, including career highs with three hits and four RBI to lift NCC over Carroll on Saturday, 11-1.
