NAPERVILLE – For the third time during the 2022-23 season and the fourth time in her collegiate career, Natalie Bassett of North Central has been selected College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Bassett, a sophomore from Bluffton, S.C., was perfect in eight matches over the previous two weeks. She was 4-0 from the #2 slot of the NCC singles lineup, winning in duals against Grinnell, Wisconsin-Stevens Point to go along with a pair of victories over regionally ranked Gianna Nikoleit of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
 
At the top of the doubles lineup, Bassett and Abby Penados were victorious in all four duals, including wins over regionally ranked foes from Grinnell and UWW.
 
Bassett previously earned CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week honors in consecutive weeks in the fall – Sept. 28 and Oct. 5.
