NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) selected North Central’s Tanya Czosek (offense) and Bella LaRocco (defense) as Student-Athletes of the Week in women’s lacrosse on Tuesday afternoon. The duo lifted the Cardinals to a pair of conference victories last week.
 
Czosek, a senior from Wadsworth, Ill., tallied three goals with an assist last Wednesday to help NCC to a 17-0 win at Elmhurst. Just three days later, she erupted for new career highs with seven goals, two assists and nine points as North Central took down Augustana, 15-8.
 
LaRocco logged a shutout for the first time in her career in the 17-0 win last Wednesday over Elmhurst. She stopped all three shots she faced against the Bluejays, then followed up with 13 more saves in Saturday’s road win at Augustana. For the week, the Cary, Ill. native had a .667 saves percentage.
